With the HouseMate take control and gain autonomy. This environmental control allows you to use a smartphone or tablet with a switch or joystick. Via this access you can use either the ClickToPhone app or the HouseMate app on Android. On iOS you can use the HouseMate app to take control of your home.
The hardware can be controlled by the built-in button, by connecting an external switch or a power wheelchair joystick. It can be interfaced to R-Net, DX, Links and Curtis wheelchair control systems.
It is powered by a Li-Ion battery and contains a powerful omni-directional infrared transmitter and an optional Easy Wave or Zwave radio module.
Compatible with infrared equipment such as televisions, home cinema, medical beds, etc.

Zwave 868MHz radio channel. Zwave technology allows to go further via a home automation server. Scenario, mesh receiver repeats commands to increase the size of the home automation network.

How does it work with an electric wheelchair ? In order to control the Housemate and also the smartphone with a wheelchair joystick, there are two main ways.
The first one is to use the Bluetooth of the chair to move a mouse. This is simple and effective. But this is not for everyone, the mouse is not always easy to use.
The other solution is to use an interface box (ECU or IOM). These interfaces are connected to the electronics of the chair and to the HouseMate. You select the corresponding mode (comfort, driving, housemate) and then you can move the selection box on the smartphone. This makes it easier to use the joystick to move the box.
The HouseMate app is compatible on iOS with Apple accessibility and on Android.
